The International Coalition “Biodiversity Corridors in Africa” and Climate Chance are proud to see the pilot ecological corridor project in Guinea highlighted in Mongabay!
Since 2023, the activities carried out on the ground have led to the mapping of the corridor, during which local communities were consulted as part of a field mission this summer (an article about the mission is coming soon). This project also aims to develop a methodology that will enable sustainable financing of the corridor through high-integrity biodiversity carbon credits.
The corridor spans several rural municipalities and seeks to create a safe passage for wildlife while integrating human activities in a sustainable way.
