On October 20, 2024, the Association Climate Chance officially joined the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP), further strengthening its commitment to the sustainable management of ecosystems and the conservation of biodiversity in Africa.
Founded in 2002 and consisting of 125 members, the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP) supports the Central African Forests Commission (COMIFAC) in its dialogue with regional partners.
By joining the CBFP, Climate Chance, which represents the International Coalition Biodiversity Corridors in Africa co-chaired by Gabon, Guinea, Tanzania, and France, will continue to promote issues of ecological connectivity, particularly in the context of forest ecosystem protection in Africa. It will also continue its mission to strengthen cooperation between non-state actors and governments.
Joining the CBFP marks a new step in international collaboration on climate and biodiversity.
